ome and See the CSR Way had a stand at The Business Show, Excel London on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th November.
The two days were buzzing with so many people and our friendly, colourful stand full of treats caught the eye of many. You could not miss the volunteers on their first day of event volunteering in their bright orange hi-vis vests. We had 9 new volunteers over the 2 days who did amazing being their first time being part of an exhibition.
We had an overwhelming response from students, colleges, universities, councils, employees, business owners and community members.
Meeting all these individuals and groups enquiring at our stand made it exciting to find out what they are currently up to. At the same time going through the opportunity to Do Good for Good by becoming a sustainable volunteer.
We had so many people excited to scan our banner QR code, go to our website and sign up to be a sustainable volunteer there and then.
It was clear to see that people wanted to make a meaningful impact in their community whether it's through volunteering for food donation pick up at stores or volunteering at Come and See events.
Everyone is raring to go to help others when they can. People loved the idea that the volunteering is completely flexible and also can obtain a reference if they are a student, graduate, not working or in between.
We look forward to following up all the connections that were made. We are grateful for all the fantastic feedback that was received and the long term commitment for all to help build back sustainably.
With a massive thank you to our core donators from Sainsbury's New Cross Gate who supplied the amazing arrange of sweets and chocolates for our stand. Also to Sainsbury's Dulwich for items in our mini Come and See set up including the abundance of crisps to give away.
Finally a massive thank you to the organisers of The Business Show for helping to make this happen.
The final outcome is the mutual agreement that the only way is up, communities will thrive when we work together collectively.
