A Come and See Community event was held for the Lettsom Residents in the borough of Southwark with an outstanding success. 

With a massive thank you to our core donators Sainsbury's Dulwich, Sainsbury's New Cross, and Sainsbury's Elephant & Castle. 

With a collective community all coming together for one purpose to help impact people, parents and children. Both families and households were instantly impacted by attending a free event held onsite in their community hall within the estate. They were able to register for more free events, and get access to supportive services. Local residents received access to free refreshments and a galore of free resources to pick up. From sustainable shopping bags, fruits, seeds for gardening, non perishables, long life items, snacks, toiletries, pet food, new adult and children's clothing including accessories. 

From a warm welcome to a free and confidential service people were able to experience the coming together in the heart of the community. 

A special thank to Alex, a Customer Trading Manager from Sainsbury's Dulwich who volunteered on the refreshment table and provided generous donations to ensure there was more than enough. Also to Jenny, a retired ex banking manager who donated her time to be the well needed extra help. 

The good news is that some of the left over donations were put away for continued distribution to the residents in need. 

The Come and See team are very grateful to the Treasurer, Millie and the team for saying yes to the event. Residents have welcomed a return and we look forward to continuing the support with what they need. 

We are sure to see the seeds of flowers from Sainsbury's Dulwich adding to the estates sustainable fruit, vegetable and herb growing project. 

The final outcome is the mutual agreement that the only way is up, and building back sustainably to help communities thrive is where it is going. Come and See - Community donated to 40 families and individuals who where grateful for the help and support. Some residents are looking to sign up for free online courses to upskill.
